To enable the HUD, on your baby´s menu go to edit / HUD. This must be done on each baby and if the baby is reseted or you think the HUD isn´t receiving the information of your baby.
The Baby Tatu´s HUD Works on the entire sim so you don’t need to be near the baby for the HUD to work. You can even use it on your partners baby.
You can only listen to one baby at a time but you can change at any time the baby to follow by touching the baby´s name. It´s also possible to wear multiple HUDs to show all babies at once.
The pick up button will only appear if you are the owner of the baby and you aren’t wearing him already. Touching this button will attach your baby from any location on the entire Sim. If the baby doesn´t have attach permission from the owner this operation will fail.
If the baby fails to update the information on the HUD a warning will appear letting you know that the information shown on the HUD could be misleading.
This HUD doesn't work for me at all. Most of the time I get an error that it can't find the baby's info, even if one of them is sleeping on the crib. And I've NEVER seen that button to pick the baby up, even though I'm the owner.
ReplyDeleteHi Minerva
ReplyDeleteYou will only see the button if you are the owner and the baby is on the floor. And of course you also need the latest version of the HUD.
About the HUD don´t recieving the info, is something common on most HUDs. Thats caused by the Sim script lag. To check this use the following script. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlGetRegionTimeDilation
A time dilation of 1 means the scripts are working correctly, if this drops to 0 the scripts are halted.
Please check all this.
i am having the same problem and no matter what i do i cant get it to work
Deletehow do you let the father hold them he has the hud and it keeps sayin connection lost why is tht????
ReplyDeleteFor the father ro hold the baby you need to transfer the baby to him. If you share the items he can just pick him up from the ground.
ReplyDeleteThe connection can be lost because a number of reasons.
Reason 1:
The baby isn´t there anymore, or you are on a different sim.
Reason 2:
There is too much server side lag
Reason 3:
Someone paired another HUD and the HUD channel was changed. To pair 2 HUDS on the same baby you need to pair them at the same time with the same action.
Reason 4:
If you leave the baby alone and don´t interact with him for a long time, his priority on the SL server is lowered over time. This is probably done by SL to prevent unnecesary CPU usage on things the avatars arent using. But the result is that if you stop using the baby, the server will eventualy pause him and the connection to the HUD will be lost.
I have not yet purchased the hud as the reviews have indicated there are a lot of bugs to yet work out. My question is, do I NEED the hud? My baby is new and the last time I held him, I noticed his stats are not increasing no matter what i do and Im not getting the little sounds and notices for diaper changes, etc anymore. I dont know if this is because I dont have the hud or something else is wrong. Can anyone help?
ReplyDeleteColton, are you still having problems? If so, feel free to IM me in world, and I shall attempt to help.
DeleteAs a clinician, I have added babies to my HUD over time whom I had been monitoring for care. My question is how do I remove unwanted names? I've incorporated the tedious task of creating multiple HUDS, but there has to be a more efficient way, correct? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI like the hud. I wish there had been a nc with the purchase to describe the different symbols because it wasn't until 24 hours later I realized the top symbol was sleep. It kept going yellow and making me thinks something was wrong with the baby. :/
ReplyDeleteNow it's all good tho. If I loose connection I will try again or reset hud with the baby like what was mentioned.
I just release a new version og the HUD where you can delete unwanted babies
ReplyDeleteGreat product! Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteThe hud keeps losing connection with the baby, and it keeps saying the tiredeness is in the red even though I keep putting the baby to sleep, is it supposed to be red or green meaning the baby has had enough sleep? Even if I reconnect the hud it is still in the red.
